Equinox Consultancy LLC, based in Denver, Colorado, was certified on December 13, 2005, as a business owned and controlled by a woman by the National Women Business Owners Corporation (NWBOC.) The goal of the certification program is to increase the ability of woman-owned businesses to compete for contracts at the national level.

“Certification provides a marketing opportunity for woman business enterprises (WBE) to participate in diversity supplier campaigns and other small business procurement programs,” says Virginia Winter, Owner and Principal of Equinox. “ In addition, this program will help us develop relationships with multi-national corporations and create opportunities for partnerships with larger public agencies and industrial clients in the U.S.”

NWBOC, a 501(c)(3) not for profit, is a sister organization to the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and the Center for Women’s Business Research (CWBR.)

With this certification, Equinox seeks to provide more companies with the opportunity to enhance their procurement practices and to allow WBEs to access and compete for contracts.
