Organization development professional, Virginia Winter, volunteered her expertise to work with Sustainable Travel International to consult on the charter and inaugural meeting agenda of the Sustainable Travel Leaders Network - a new travel and tourism industry executive forum.

Ms. Winter served as lead facilitator for the launch meeting of the Sustainable Travel Leaders Network in November 2010 onboard the Allure of the Seas - the largest cruise ship in the world, which is part of the Royal Caribbean fleet. Equinox Consultancy is under contract to work directly with STI to advise and facilitate this executive group of sustainability professionals during their 2011 year of meetings.

2009 - 2011
In an effort to expand market base and service offerings Equinox formed an alliance with BrownFlynn, a corporate responsibility and sustainability consulting firm, located in Cleveland, OH. BrownFlynn's learning division is the the first organization in the U.S. to be certified by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and offers courses educating clients on how to report environmental, social and economic practices based on the GRI framework. Virginia serves as an advisor and consultant on business and sustainability strategies, and serves as an adjunct trainer to BrownFlynnLearning to instruct the 2-Day, certified Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) course.

2008 - 2009
Virginia Winter was employed by Delta Consultants, Inc., Global Corporate Consultancy, a division of the Oranjewoud NV family of companies and worked as a Senior Consultant in their corporate responsibility practice area delivering strategic consulting services to industry clients.

Equinox Consultancy entered a partnership with Alchemy, a Denver-based business strategy firm with Virginia Winter acting as a Senior Associate. Projects included teaming with Alchemy's, Senior Partner, Lois Todd for work with Board of the Colorado Rural Electric Assn. and the Democratic National and local Denver Convention, Committees.

The Auditing Roundtable - Virginia Winter provided process design and facilitation to help launch the Rocky Mountain Region chapter. Seventeen people attended the inaugural meeting representing Colorado and Montana with Roundtable board member Mike Koensigsberger from 3M as visiting guest from Minnesota. Attendees represented industry, consulting, and the financial investment sectors.

Equinox Consultancy LLC was awarded a contract from Vail Resorts Inc., Hospitality Division (RockResorts) to provide change leadership and environmental management system development consultation over a 6 month period.


Equinox Consultancy LLC initially obtained national certification as a woman-owned business or "Women Business Enterprise" (WBE) through the National Woman Business Owners Corporation.

"EHS Leaders Dialogue" regularly meets and serves as a unique learning forum of environmental professionals from the Rocky Mountain Region.
